Disaster Management with a Social Outlook 
 
Shantikunj is a noted member of the national disaster management committee. Significant contributions have been made by the organization to various relief and rehabilitation funds of the Govt. of India. This includes Rs. 1.25 crores for Kargil Martyrs' fund; Rs. 50 lac for the Orissa cyclone victims; Rehabilitation of thousands of families after the Uttar Kashi and Latur quakes.

¨The volunteers of the mission provided timely medical aid, food and shelter to thousands of victims of the dreaded tremor of Gujarat. The local Shakti Pithas also supported volunteers of other NGOs. The Gayatri Pariwar has adopted 200 villages in the Bhuj area for complete development after the devastating earthquake. Major rehabilitation work has begun at full stream. Temporary hospital, schools and water facility are also arranged by the mission.
